Event Information

During the outbreak of COVID-19 in the United States, all schools made urgent adjustments to teaching and learning online. Faced with the new norm of distant learning and studying alone at home, how can students continue to improve their English skills?

Two doctoral tutors from top U.S. universities, Christopher Miller and Michael Schapira, together introduced the importance of improving the comprehensive skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing to international students' study in the U.S. In response to the lack of face-to-face socializing opportunities during the current epidemic, Michael provided students with learning methods and skills on how to improve their English reading and writing skills at home while improving critical thinking and independent thinking ability. Christopher introduced the importance of application essays to the application results, as well as the key points and skills of English academic writing for students to get prepared for their future academic life in the U.S.
